The sterilising principle of BioNatro PRO disinfectant and anti-viral coating relies on the action of cationic compounds through electrostatic attraction and hydrophobic bonding between surfactant molecules and protein molecules.
The BioNatro coating carries a positive charge, which enables it to attract negatively charged bacterial cells. It then interacts with the hydrophilic groups on the bacteria, increasing the permeability of the bacterial cell membrane. This causes the leakage of cytoplasmic contents, leading to cell lysis, destruction of cell structure, and ultimately the dissolution and death of the bacteria.
