What is its working principle?

The nanoparticles automatically seek out each fiber of the fabric and form a "molecular chain layer" only tens of nanometers thick on its surface. Fluoropolymers have extremely low surface energy, causing them to generate a repulsive force greater than the surface tension of the liquid, forming a nano-scale water- and oil-repellent protective mesh that repels water and other liquids, preventing them from penetrating the surface. This protective mesh also protects against contaminants dissolved in liquids; when liquid is splashed onto the coating, it is immediately "slid off," creating a "lotus effect."

Will spraying change the color or feel of the fabric?

Absolutely not. Our nanocoating uses advanced fluoropolymer molecular technology, with particle diameters only one ten-thousandth the size of a human hair. It individually coats each fiber, rather than forming a thick film, thus fully preserving the fabric's original breathability, softness, and color. The coating will not affect the material's appearance or texture.

Can all fabrics be used?

Most fabrics can be coated. Coating is suitable for velvet, leather, wool, cotton, synthetic fabrics (polyester), silk, etc. Commonly seen in car fabric seats and interiors/fabric sofas, carpets, curtains, mattresses, pet mattresses/light-colored suits, suede shoe uppers, expensive handbags/hotel lobbies, restaurant chairs, office partitions.
 • Note: For leather materials that have already undergone a highly waterproof treatment, it is recommended to test on a small, inconspicuous area first.

What types of stains does this coating prevent?

Accepted Answer

Because fluoropolymers have extremely low surface energy, they allow fabrics to possess both hydrophobic and oleophobic properties. Common liquids, such as milk, coffee, red wine, and soy sauce, will not penetrate the fabric and cause stains.

*Nano coatings are not "absolutely clean". Strong acids, strong alkalis, industrial solvents, or hot boiling oil (such as pouring hot oil directly from the pan) may damage the molecular chains of the coating layer.

How long does the effect last? Does it need frequent reapplication?

Accepted Answer

If washed regularly, the coating's long-lasting protective effect can last for approximately six months and is suitable for various fabrics, such as cotton, leather, wool, and non-woven fabrics. On fabrics that do not require washing , it can last up to a year . Fabrics coated with the coating can still be machine washed. Frequent re-coating is not necessary; simply reapply after one year.

Can it be used if there are pets or children at home?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our product is safe to use; it has a non-toxic formula. Once the coating has fully cured (dried) on the fabric fibers, it forms a molecular-level protective layer. This layer is extremely chemically stable and will not release any harmful substances, even if it comes into contact with skin or pets roll around on it. The coating is not only stain-resistant, but its hydrophobic properties also effectively prevent moisture from penetrating into the sofa, reducing mold and bacteria growth caused by dampness. This creates a more hygienic home environment for your children and pets. Furthermore, it is colorless, odorless, and free of known allergens, and will not irritate the respiratory tract after application, making it very suitable for families with allergies.

Is the operation complicated? How do I use it?

It's completely simple! Just two steps: "spray and let it dry," just like applying perfume.

Step 1: Thoroughly clean and disinfect fabric materials before spraying the coating.
Step 2: Shake the BioNatro® nano fabric anti-fouling coating evenly onto the object's surface using a sprayer at a distance of about 20cm. Too far or too close a distance will result in unsatisfactory results.
Step 3: Wait 5-10 minutes for it to dry slightly, then spray again for longer-lasting results. Let it air dry in a well-ventilated area for 24 hours, and do not touch it during this time.

If liquid or other substances are spilled on it, how should I clean it up?

The nano-fabric anti-fouling coating forms a nano-water- and oil-resistant protective net. When liquid is splashed onto the coating, it will immediately "slide off" to form a "lotus effect." It can be easily removed along with the contaminants with a gentle shake or a tissue, without penetrating the fabric and causing stains.

* Because textile techniques may vary. Also, although the coating can prevent stains from adhering to the surface, it cannot completely prevent the formation of dirt/stains , as the fabric textile technology/type of liquid/actual conditions may differ.

Will sun exposure affect the durability of the coating?

Accepted Answer

Although strong and prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation will slowly degrade the effectiveness of any chemical substance, thanks to the extremely high stability of fluoropolymers, which far surpasses that of typical silicone or wax sprays, the protective effect remains stable in indoor environments (such as living rooms with direct sunlight). It lasts for 12-18 months and can resist ultraviolet light, helping to prevent fabrics from fading due to sun exposure.

How much fabric area can one bottle of coating agent treat?

Accepted Answer

We currently sell coating agents in two sizes: 2L and 5L.

2L: Can handle approximately 25-35 square meters of fabric, such as a standard 3-seat sofa/1 medium-sized rug.
5L: Can handle approximately 60-80 square meters of fabric, such as living room sofas, all bedroom mattresses, dining chairs, and carpets throughout the house.
